A Hybrid Operating Theatre is a surgical suite that combines the functions of a conventional operating theatre with advanced imaging technology to guide every procedure in real time. The hybrid operating theatre at Ascires Hospital Valencia features a 3 Tesla MRI scanner, a next-generation CT scanner and a robotic angiograph capable of producing 360º imaging.

Dr. Javier Hernández Falcón is a specialist in Urology with extensive experience in uro-oncology, female functional urology and minimally invasive surgery. His practice integrates prevention, early diagnosis and personalized treatment of male and female urological health.
Dr José Luis Domínguez-Escrig is a consultant urologist and uro-oncology specialist, with extensive experience in the treatment of bladder cancer and upper urinary tract cancer. He is currently Head of Urology at Ascires and has an outstanding international research and scientific career.
Dr Mikel San Julián Aranguren is a specialist in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, with a particular focus on bone and musculoskeletal tumours and paediatric orthopaedics. He has an extensive clinical, research and academic background, with significant scientific output and active participation in research projects and clinical trials.
Dr. Edwin Velásquez is a surgeon specializing in Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology at Hospital Ascires. He is an expert in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of osteoarticular conditions of the upper extremity, specifically involving the elbow, wrist, and hand.

Director of the Neuroscience Area – Dr Andrés Lozano is internationally recognised as the most cited neurosurgeon in the world, renowned for his pioneering work in deep brain stimulation (DBS) and ultrasound techniques (Neuro-HIFU) to treat Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and depression.
José Mª Lamo de Espinosa is a physician specialised in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, with more than 15 years of experience in hip surgery and limb tumour surgery. He trained at the University of Navarra, where he also obtained his PhD, receiving the Extraordinary Doctorate Award in 2017 for his work in the field of advanced cell therapy.
