It is advisable to see a neurologist if you experience symptoms such as persistent headaches, dizziness, fainting, seizures, memory loss, difficulty speaking or moving, or numbness in the limbs. It is also essential to seek consultation if you have a family history of neurological diseases or if you have suffered a stroke.
To schedule a consultation, you can call our centre directly, visit our website and use the contact form, or come in person to our facilities in Valencia.
Ascires Valencia offers advanced treatments such as therapies for drug-resistant epilepsy, deep brain stimulation and Neuro-HIFU for Parkinson’s and tremor, advanced techniques for headaches and migraines, and comprehensive management of neuropathic pain. We have cutting-edge technology and a highly specialised multidisciplinary team to provide the best care.
In the Neurosciences Area at Ascires, tests such as electroencephalograms (EEG) and video electroencephalograms (video EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT, commonly known as CAT scan), brain SPECT and PET, Alzheimer’s diagnosis with biomarkers*, electromyography, nerve conduction studies and evoked potentials are performed. These tests help diagnose and monitor neurological disorders with precision.
Biomarkers are biological indicators that can be measured, for example, in blood, cerebrospinal fluid, brain imaging, among others, and which make it possible to detect characteristic changes of Alzheimer’s, such as the accumulation of beta-amyloid and tau proteins or loss of brain volume, even in early stages before symptoms appear.
