Dr Isabel Merí is a physician specialist in Psychiatry at Ascires. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 2018 and obtained her specialisation in Psychiatry in 2023. Since 2020, she has carried out different activities of scientific, technical and academic interest, such as training in Anxiety Disorders, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), psychotherapy and gender perspective in mental health, among others.

Dr Vicente Roig is a Family Physician and Head of the Emergency Department (Phase 2 of opening) at Ascires. He has more than 20 years of experience as a specialist in Family and Community Medicine, as well as in Emergency Departments, developed in both public and private centres and complemented by periods abroad.

Laia Gilabert is a physiotherapist at Ascires Hospital, specialised in neurological physiotherapy. She has experience in the treatment of patients with stroke, multiple sclerosis, Guillain-Barré syndrome, spinal cord injury or trauma, functional movement disorders, neuropathies, epilepsy and cerebral palsy, among others.

Dr María José Tejedor is a specialist in Paediatrics with extensive clinical experience and a comprehensive approach: routine check-ups, support in breastfeeding and parenting, early detection of possible developmental problems, guidance on nutrition and healthy habits, and follow-up of common conditions such as asthma, atopic dermatitis or overweight.

He completed a Master’s Degree in Sports Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Rehabilitation at the University of Valencia (UV) and an Official Master’s Degree in Socio-Health Research at the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM).

Dr Moner is a specialist in Gynaecology at Ascires Group. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia in 2019 and completed her residency, obtaining the specialty in Gynaecology and Obstetrics in 2024. She holds a Master’s Degree in Lower Genital Tract Pathology and HPV, as well as additional specific training in cervical cancer, HPV effects, childbirth, breast pathology and vulvar pathology, among others. She is currently undertaking a doctoral programme at the University of Valencia.

Dr Beneto is part of the team of neurologists at Ascires Group. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia in 2020 and holds two Master’s Degrees: one in Clinical Medicine and another in Clinical Neurology. She has completed various specific training programmes and courses, for example in epilepsy, neuroimaging and video-EEG monitoring, among others.

She is a member of the Spanish Epilepsy Society, the Spanish Society of Neurology and the Valencian Society of Neurology.

She graduated in Medicine from the Medical University of Warsaw (Poland) and has worked as a neurology specialist and researcher in international and national hospitals. Dr Montenegro has been Head of Surgical Services at the Ascires Group since 2019. As a specialist in cardiovascular surgery, he has received advanced training in adult and paediatric cardiac surgery, thoracic surgery, vascular surgery, and angiology at various hospitals both in Spain and abroad.

Dr Arego is a rehabilitation physician in the Pain Unit at Ascires. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Valencia (2018) and is specialised in Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine. Director of the Neuroscience Area – Dr Andrés Lozano is internationally recognised as the most cited neurosurgeon in the world, renowned for his pioneering work in deep brain stimulation (DBS) and ultrasound techniques (Neuro-HIFU) to treat Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease and depression.

Specialist in Neurology in Valencia, Gandia and Xàtiva. She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Valencia. She has more than 12 years of experience as a Neurology specialist in various hospitals, both in Spain and France.

José Mª Lamo de Espinosa is a physician specialised in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology, with more than 15 years of experience in hip surgery and limb tumour surgery. He trained at the University of Navarra, where he also obtained his PhD, receiving the Extraordinary Doctorate Award in 2017 for his work in the field of advanced cell therapy.

Dr Sánchez Carazo has more than 40 years of experience as a dermatologist in public and private hospitals and is highly specialised in psoriasis and other inflammatory diseases.

More than 7 years of experience as a pulmonologist, which he combines with his medical work in the Emergency Department in the public healthcare system since 2016. Trained at Hospital Clínico San Carlos in Madrid from 2012 to 2016, he holds a Master’s Degree in COPD and Sleep Disorders.

25 years of experience as a specialist in Nuclear Medicine, 17 years as Head of the Nuclear Medicine Department and 8 years as Medical Director at Ascires. Specialised in Breast Imaging and Prostate Cancer, he is also a Licensed Supervisor of Radioactive Facilities in the field of Nuclear Medicine. He also has specific training in PET, PET-CT and SPECT in the field of Oncology, among others.

PhD in Medicine, specialist in Neurology and Epilepsy; recognised as an Epileptology specialist by the International League Against Epilepsy. Lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Neuroscience at the University of Valencia. Awarded the Scientific Prize in Epilepsy by the Spanish Society of Neurology in 2014.

With more than 13 years of experience as a neurologist and specialist in Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive disorders, Dr Vico is part of the Memory and Cognitive Disorders Unit at Ascires. She is the author and co-author of more than 35 publications in national and international scientific journals. She has also participated in numerous congresses and in 17 research studies throughout her professional career.

He has more than 30 years of experience as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, working in a range of both public and private healthcare centres across the Valencian Community. He holds a PhD with Cum Laude honours from the University of Valencia and completed two postdoctoral research fellowships in the United States.
He has been involved in several research projects related to conditions such as Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and Endometriosis, among others.

With extensive experience in Cardiac Imaging, he holds the highest European certification in Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT and is a lecturer in Cardiac Imaging at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Valencia.
