Rodolfo Augusto Chicas Sett

Dr. Chicas Sett is a specialist in Radiation Oncology with more than 10 years of experience in high-precision radiotherapy and advanced oncologic treatment techniques.

His clinical practice focuses on:

• Stereotactic Body Radiotherapy (SBRT/SABR) for tumors of the lung, liver, pancreas, among others

• Intracranial radiosurgery for brain metastases and primary tumors

• Advanced Breath Hold techniques to improve treatment precision in thoracic and abdominal tumors

• Combined radiotherapy treatments with immunotherapy and targeted therapies

He holds a PhD in Health Sciences (Cum Laude) with the doctoral thesis “High-Dose-Rate Brachytherapy Boost in Prostate Cancer: Clinical Outcomes, Late Rectal Toxicity and Uncertainties in Organ at Risk Delineation.”

Alongside his clinical work, he is involved in teaching activities at Francisco de Vitoria University – SEOR, CEU Cardenal Herrera University, and the University of Valencia.

He is the author and co-author of more than 70 publications in international journals, as well as numerous presentations at national and international conferences and training courses. He has also supervised several doctoral theses, master’s dissertations, and undergraduate final projects.

In addition, he serves as a consulting editor for Clinical and Translational Oncology and as a review editor for Frontiers in Oncology.

He is currently Coordinator of the Translational Research Platform of the Spanish Society of Radiation Oncology (SEOR) and Board Member of GETICA (Spanish Group for Immunotherapy and Biological Therapies in Cancer).
