Neurologist at the Ascires Group and the Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Unit.
With 19 years of experience in the field of neurology, she is a reference specialist in movement disorders and Parkinson’s disease.
PhD from the University of Valencia (International Doctorate and Cum Laude; 2014): Thesis: “Optimisation and quantification of stimulation parameters of subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation in Parkinson’s disease”.
Coordinator of the Movement Disorders and Functional Neurosurgery Unit at other centres; she has also been Coordinator of the national reference unit for rare diseases associated with movement disorders and of the national reference unit for movement disorders surgery within the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery, in public hospitals.
In addition to her extensive career in national hospitals, she also has experience at the Functional Neurosurgery Unit of the Institute of Neurology, University College London.
She has more than 39 publications related to the field of neurology, including chapters in scientific books. She has also participated in research projects and clinical trials.
Ascires has the ENS certification with the MEDIA category for its medical centers in the Valencian Community and Madrid.
