Christian Mañas Ortiz

Christian Mañas, a specialist in Clinical Nutrition, carries out his clinical activity as Head of the Nutrition Unit at Ascires, where he performs nutritional status assessments, body composition analysis and specialised nutritional support for patients with different pathologies. His work also includes hospital nutrition within a multidisciplinary approach.

He holds a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Valencia and later completed a Master’s Degree in Public Health and Healthcare Management. He is currently finishing a Master’s Degree in Healthy and Sustainable Nutrition while also undertaking his PhD in Medicine. His training integrates clinical nutrition, public health and research applied to clinical practice.

He combines his clinical activity with university teaching in the field of Human Nutrition and Dietetics, participating in the training of future healthcare professionals and in educational innovation projects.

He has experience in research and healthcare quality improvement, participating in scientific projects and in the dissemination of knowledge through publications and presentations at national and international congresses in clinical nutrition and related fields. Throughout his career, he has received various awards and grants in recognition of his scientific and outreach activity.

He has also collaborated with patient associations, taking part in initiatives and projects related to nutritional education and support for people with oncological disease.

His clinical practice is focused on providing personalised nutritional care based on comprehensive patient assessment, body composition and specialised nutritional support, with the aim of improving clinical outcomes and patients’ quality of life.
