At the Paediatrics Clinic at Ascires Hospital, we take a holistic approach to children’s health, considering their physical, psychological and emotional well-being.
We carry out all the complementary tests required for diagnosis with maximum efficiency, in an environment and with a medical approach tailored to each age.
For example, during tests such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), where children may experience anxiety, fear and/or claustrophobia, we turn the experience into a positive and cooperative one thanks to the Ascires Kids soft toys. In addition, we prioritise family accompaniment whenever possible.

It is recommended to visit the paediatrician regularly for growth and vaccination check-ups, even if the child is healthy. It is also important to seek medical attention if your child has persistent high fever, difficulty breathing, skin rashes, ongoing vomiting, loss of appetite, excessive drowsiness or any sudden changes in behaviour. The paediatrician plays a key role in the early detection of diseases and in guiding parents through every stage of their child’s development.
A paediatrician is a doctor specialised in children’s health, from birth through adolescence. Unlike a general practitioner, a paediatrician has specific training in growth and development, vaccination and childhood diseases. This allows them to provide a more accurate and safe approach to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of health conditions specific to each stage of childhood.
These check-ups help monitor growth and development.
A healthy diet in childhood should include fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. It is recommended to avoid ultra-processed foods, excessive sugar and sugary drinks. Paediatricians advise establishing regular mealtimes, setting a good example through healthy family habits, and not using food as a reward or punishment. Good nutrition supports healthy growth and helps prevent long-term diseases.
Ascires has the ENS certification with the MEDIA category for its medical centers in the Valencian Community and Madrid.
